Culture Shock (De Voorkamer) and Stadsklooster Utrecht are joining forces! On December 21, no less than two duos from Culture Shock will take the special stage at Stadsklooster.
One duo consists of oud player Talal Fayad from Syria and bass player Emilio Maggiore from Italy. The second duo features Iranian tar player Khorsid Dadbeh and singer-songwriter Desiree Coumans (NL).
Get ready for a refreshing double-duo concert and a fusion of diverse musical backgrounds! Admission is free.

Culture Shock is a platform for new cross-cultural musical collaborations by De Voorkamer, curated by Yankı Bıçakçı. Culture Shock facilitates artistic and social encounters where musicians from different cultural backgrounds are invited to create together for the first time, prepare a unique concert, and bring it to the stage. Every month, a new duo debuts their live performance.
This concert is part of the MIDWINTER day at Stadsklooster Utrecht. During the day, you can listen to a Christmas gospel choir, immerse yourself in a VR experience, and more. Before the Culture Shock concert, there will be a dinner by Palestine Kitchen at De Voorkamer. More detailed information about this day program will follow.
