Third year students of the Utrechts Conservatory present their connection to the surroundings of the Stadsklooster. A collage-style night where the students answer the question: ‘If my art is a mirror, how, what and why do I mirror?’ Expect out-of-the-box musical performances, art exhibitions, and, oh right: the unexpected.
Question
In a two-week project, the third year students of the Musician 3.0 department (HKU Utrechts Conservatory) experiment with their connection to the environment. Every artist has their own relationship, their own vision on how they reflect their surroundings. But how do artists come to that vision? What steps can you take to expose the relationship you have? After their initial exploration of their toolbox and their own communities, the students have applied themselves to the neighbourhood of the Stadsklooster, in an attempt to answer these questions, and to find new ones.
